Robert "Rusty" Tweed

Robert "Rusty" Tweed is President and founder of Tweed Financial Services, Inc., an independent, comprehensive financial planning firm based in San Marino, California.

A Certified Estate Advisor® and prominent member of the Board of Advisors of the National Association of Financial and Estate Planners and the Tenants-In-Common Association, Rusty has assisted more than 700 clients set up appropriate trust structures and has settled more than 50 estates. As a specialist in retirement investment planning, he manages in excess of $100 million for hundreds of clients in the Los Angeles Basin, utilizing individual portfolios, managed accounts, mutual funds, REITs, Tenants-In-Common offerings, 1031 Exchanges, real estate limited liability corporations and private trusts.

In 1999, Rusty was selected Estate Planner of the Year by the National Association of Financial and Estate Planners, and subsequently served on the professional association's Board of Advisors. He speaks frequently on financial planning issues, is a member of the West San Gabriel Valley Association of Realtors® and is authorized by the California Department of Real Estate to offer continuing education seminars to Realtors®. Rusty also teaches Continuing Education courses to CPAs on advanced tax reduction techniques, and has educated thousands at his regular seminars for the general public on real estate investing, estate planning, retirement planning and investment strategies. He has been quoted in the Los Angeles Times and the Bloomberg Financial News wire service .

Rusty also takes pride in being a third generation financial services professional. His great uncle founded Equitable Life Insurance Company of Canada, today a major multinational insurance company. His grandfather established a successful insurance brokerage in the Toronto area that Rusty's father now owns and operates.

In all his work with his clients, Rusty's philosophy is simple and straightforward. The needs of his clients are always first. He educates his clients in what they need to know to be in control of their financial futures. And, he follows through with attentive service for the full duration of the client relationship. The end goal for Rusty is always that his clients are able to achieve financial independence, and most importantly, peace of mind knowing they have a well constructed and strategized retirement portfolio.
